Time To Get Manly 13: The Rolling Stones - Aftermath

I randomly ran across a list of what Esquire magazine claims are "The 75 Albums Every Man Should Own." In this series of posts, I'll explore these manly, manly sounds.

The Rolling Stones - Aftermath

On Aftermath, the Rolling Stones pretty much cover all the manly bases. The record kicks off with an homage to the most manly of colors, and goes right into a song about a "stupid girl" and just keeps going from there. It's hard to believe that Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were so young when they wrote these songs. What did you do when you were twenty-two? Probably crushed beer cans on your head and tried to impress girls with the fact you knew all the words to "We Didn't Start The Fire."
