Jennifer O'Connor would bicycle across town to bring you candy.
So this pretty much made me day: One of my favorite songwriters covering one of my favorite songwriters. Apparently this is part of a series that Time Out New York is doing called, "100 Best NYC Songs." Suzanne Vega also performed her classic "Tom's Diner" as part of the series. Solitude Standing was one of the very first cassettes I purchased with my own money. I remember it was a toss up between that or the Earth Girls Are Easy soundtrack. I've always had eclectic tastes, I suppose.
