I randomly ran across a list of what Esquire magazine claims are "The 75 Albums Every Man Should Own." In this series of posts, I'll explore these manly, manly sounds.

Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique

This is constantly chosen by Beastie Boys fans as their favorite album, and almost every person I've met who would self-identify as a "Beastie Boys fan" is male, so it makes sense that Paul's Boutique made Esquire's list. I prefer Check Your Head, but that's because by then the guys had grown up and stopped obnoxiously rhyming lines like "I took her to the place" with "I threw the mattress in her face." That said, I can't deny that "Shake Your Rump" is awesome.
